Clara started her journey at EY in Technology Consulting in Spain, more specifically in the area of digital and emerging technologies. As a Senior Consultant, Clara had an exciting opportunity to join the EMEIA FSO Innovation team, where she continues to work and make impact.
My role is focused on fostering an innovation culture across 18 countries, shaping our strategy by looking at how we can support our business areas to enable innovation in each of the projects that EY undertakes. I find innovative ways of approaching a problem or helping teams solve issues.
For me, EY is an organization with international mindset and great collaboration. New and innovative ideas come when you interact with people from diverse backgrounds. I have seen EY grow, change and adapt over the years. I love the way we share knowledge and information between countries.
The commitment to innovation, technology and people is also very strong. And, finally, I love how sustainability and D&I are key priorities for EY. I have not regretted joining EY for a single day!
So many ! One of the skills I use the most is my ability to collaborate. I have found that working in a team brings out the best in me. Communication and relationship building are therefore key skills in my role. The environment is fast-paced and constantly evolving, so my ability to multitask, adapt and learn quickly is also vital. Other vital skills which I use are business & financial skills, technical skills, international project and stakeholder management and of course interpersonal skills. All are interrelated with each other for the success of our business and projects.
Resilience is also key- to ensure you keep moving forward when faced with obstacles and barriers.
Its an exciting place because of our people, technology, innovation & diversity. Innovation is important for all of us. Everyone wants to work on interesting, market-leading projects and we all want to solve the clients’ biggest problems. Client expectations are constantly evolving, and so is the competitive landscape. There are lots of disruptors, particularly in terms of technology. We need to adapt our traditional services to protect our business and not be disrupted by other players. We need to listen to the clients and develop new market-leading propositions, how to transform and optimize our business and our client’s business. Through EY Badges program, I regularly attend meetings to talk about the pain points in our industry and the possibilities for positive change. I’m constantly learning in a dynamic work environment.
I always wanted to positively impact society, people and organizations. My vision has always been to achieve equal opportunities for all. For me, the best talent comes from across the world. That's why international collaboration is so important to me. I create suitable action plans to change and enhance innovation with an effective change management model and the use of emerging technologies. This creates long-term value for all our stakeholders that leads to sustainable and inclusive growth. I also promote the free flow of ideas with personal interactions and try to spread enthusiasm.
